Men’s Club Breakfast

Our next meeting will talk about New Jersey’s Special Role in American Railroads. Ever ride a train? Lots of people today haven’t, and don’t realize how important railroads are.  Join us on next Saturday, March 7 at 7:45 am for a presentation that takes a quick historic overview of how railroads grew, with special reference to New Jersey’s unrecognized role, as well as some critical issues now facing the state’s transportation needs. America’s railroads had their roots in New Jersey, and although often out of mind today, rail transportation is critical to our daily lives. Heavily illustrated with original documents and contemporary Amtrak videos. Discusses the key role of New Jersey’s Stevens family and the Camden and Amboy Railroad, and cites railroad initiatives in the Burlington County area.
