Join us on Sunday, March 17th for the Lenten Study Series, Faith In Action, with our guest the Food Bank of South Jersey. Learn about their organization and how they help in serving our community.
When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be left for the alien, the orphan, and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all your undertakings. When you beat your olive trees, do not strip what is left; it shall be for the alien, the orphan, and the widow. When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, do not glean what is left; it shall be for the alien, the orphan, and the widow. — Deuteronomy 24:19-21
The Food Bank of South Jersey links nearly 12 million pounds of food annually with community ministries and people in need, but they don’t stop there. They offer health and wellness programs, and education, and work alongside four other food banks in the state to develop immediate and effective solutions to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, and Salem counties.
